When Talia is contacted by Ryan Saunders, she’s surprised. When Ryan wants to give her Sideshow Ding, Talia’s shocked. When Ding arrives, Talia’s dismayed. This is only the first of the issues Talia and Greer face this month. There is a surprise visit by someone who hasn’t been in town for months and that brings up emotions Talia had buried. Greer considers entering into a sidesaddle race and the lawsuit by Paul Gish isn’t going away.

Ding is a wonderful pony who's a victim of abusive trainers. Bittersweet Farm is the perfect place for him, because it's where horses and people can heal and fulfill their potential without pressure. I think that's what makes this series so appealing--the farm is a safe haven filled with sensitive people. Life isn't perfect, of course. Morgenroth challenges her characters with realistic problems that readers can identify with. Judging by the other reviews here, my review is just "preaching to the choir." I'm trying my best to spread the word on this series, which is fun, exciting and filled with the kind of life lessons horse people of any age can learn from. Every book in the series seems to end too soon, leaving us waiting impatiently for our next visit with Talia, Lockie, Greer, Cam, Jules and all the horses.Product details

Bittersweet Farm 14 Sideshow Ding Volume 14 Barbara Morgenroth 9781543066869 Books Reviews
Another great book to add to the bittersweet farms series! Each book is cleverly written and always has an unexpected twist. I was so happy to see that she had added Josh back into the picture. Hope to see more of him in the future. The dynamics between Talia and Lockie continue to grow and I love the how deep Morgenroth goes with their relationship. Cannot wait until 15!
Always a fun read with charming characters and ....horses! Love her books. And I'm 60 years old. One a horse girl always a horse girl.
I have Unlimited, which I would recommend all avid readers look into, and rarely buy books anymore. However, I now own this entire series because these books are addicting. Buyer beware. If you start you will probably be into buying them all.
What a great series. I would love to see Bittersweet Farm if it were real. The characters are wonderful and they almost feel like part of my life. I certainly wish I had Jules cooking in my kitchen. If you haven't read this series I encourage you to do so. It's a wonderful life on Bittersweet Farm.
This is a great read. I love following the story of Talia and all the rest of the members of the Bittersweet Farm family. I wish I could send my boys to Talia for riding lessons. If you love horses you will love Bittersweet Farm. This is a series that is fun and entertaining and leaves you with a happy feeling after reading it. A great read from one of my favorite authors.
This is another wonderfully written book in this great series by Barbara Morgenroth! I always feel like I am back with friends catching up on what has been going on in their lives since my last visit. Love the way the relationship between Talia and Lockie continues to grow. So much insight to Greer and her relationship issues.
Can I please have Jules come cook for me?!
Love this series and always look forward to the next book.
Can't wait for book 15!!
I have been thoroughly enjoying this series. I still do. But the last three or four books have left me a bit disappointed. It seems as if they do not have a strong central conflict in each book, which the previous ones did. The characters continue to evolve and grow, which I like. The horses are characters too, which I also like. Things do happen in these books, but they have begun to trend toward feeling more like a diary of life on a horse farm than a compelling novel which takes place on a horse farm. The books also feel shorter, though I have not looked at the page counts. When the book ends, I am still waiting for something to happen, and when I hit the last page, my beeildered thought is, "That's it? It's over?" These last two or three books have not left me hanging, desperate for the next one so I can find out what is coming next. They leave me feeling somewhat dissatisfied and thinking that not much happened in this book, so my anticipation of the next is much reduced.
The return of Sideshow Ding to Bittersweet gave me hopes that this volume was going to bring the drama level back up but nothing much has come of it. There are many long standing unresolved conflicts piling up from the previous books that I wish would be addressed; in particular, the court case for Talia, and I think it is high time she and Lockie took their relationship to the next level with an engagement. Or the offer of one, which could provide plenty of drama!
I still very much like this series but hope they come back up to their former quality.
