The book is a thorough guide to aid work at home moms make the decision to transition to Mompreneurs.
What was most important for me was that the author offers an opportunity to join a community of Moms, and with the information that she provides in her book, I knew that I would find a safe haven.

This is good book. The book as a lot of good info and the info is so clear and to the point.
Very short, nothing new that could help a WAHM. I got my money's worth. It was free! It could help those who have never thought about working from home.
This book is written more towards women who have a degree and an established career and are looking to start a business of their own. This book even has a section on day care for your children which to me defeats the purpose of the book. If you are looking for jobs you can do from home and not to form your own company this is not the book you are looking for.
I think that one of the most important things that this book has to offer is "Community". My wife has been trying to become a work-at-home mom for the past few years, mostly unsuccessfully. The biggest issue that she has is that she constantly feels alone in her struggle to keep "pushing through" for something to happen. Pamela's book states everything that my wife has been feeling (lack of motivation, loneliness, and guilt) is normal for work-at-home moms. But the book goes on to list solutions to all of these issues and solutions to other problems that arise when trying to work from the home.
Structurally, the book is clean and made for an easy read. It flows well, and me and my wife finished it before we knew it.
What I thought could have been added
Pamela pretty much covered everything that could be covered, but the one thing that I would have liked to see more of is links to possible work-from-home job opportunities (I have not visited the site fully yet, or taken advantage of the free email gift, so it might be in there; someone please correct me if I missed it).
What I thought every work-at-home mom needs to know about this book
As I said before, Pamela offers a sense of community, and that in itself is worth more than 10 times the price of this book. I know from just watching my wife, motivation can be a difficult thing to hold onto when things aren't working at the speed you want it to. Having other women to relate to, and knowing that she is not alone has already seemed to improve her mood. The other thing that makes this book a must-read is the straight honesty. Pamela gives you the truth of the hardships and issues that a work-at-home mom might encounter. While solutions are given to help alleviate some of this, the provided realities of being a work-at-home mom will definitely help anyone interested in pursuing it to decide whether it is the right fit for them or not.
I found this book to be a solid source of general information. She provides lots of realistic, evenhanded advice about working from home like considering child care, drafting a business plan, and sticking to a set of real office hours. I wish she she would have provided more information on the types of jobs available to mompreneurs, but the author said that that information was, perhaps, for another book. There were also a number of typographical errors, but they didn't take away from the overall meaning of the book.
All in all, I found the book to be a solid resource.
The book offers very good tips on how to set yourself up to work from home. It is well organized in sections go make the reading easier to follow. Like the author discloses, it is in fact a guide not a book that tells you exactly what to do.
If you are looking for a book that will make your home business attempts more successful, this is not it. If you think maybe someday you might consider working from home, this book will give a very generalized idea of what to expect. Of course, that same information is available on many websites already. Information is always already out there, but usually you have to hunt it down from many different sites. Everything in this book can be found on practically every site that covers home working.
As an example, some suggestions are given for what to do from home. One of those examples is "franchising". Not a specific franchise field that works well from home, just "franchising" in general. Then she lists the benefits of franchising - such as free training. (It's not free, it's covered in the franchise fee.) She fails to mention any disadvantages (like paying a percentage of your earnings to the franchise for as long as your remain in business and not being allowed to vary from the prescribed way of doing things.)
This book isn't going to help you be successful. It's not even going to help you decide whether working from is something that will work for you. It is, however, well written and easy to read.
